New Customer Platform User Roles

Two factors determine a user's access and capabilities in the Insights New Customer Platform: their User Role and whether their Organisation belongs to a Customer Group.

There are three types of user roles:

  • Standard User
  • Advanced User
  • Group Manager

The User Role type defines the level of permissions assigned to each user. These roles are system-wide, meaning you cannot be an Advanced User in one space and a Standard User in another. E.g. if a user has an Advanced User permissions role, they are an Advanced User in every Organisation they belong to.

All users have access to the same features for issuing evaluators, purchasing and sharing profiles and creating Team wheels in NCP.

Each user roles have unique viewing permissions for organisations, these are as follows:

A Standard User has access to the Organisation it has specifically been granted access to and all Learners within that Organisation. Standard Users have no visibility of any groups.

An Advanced User has access to a specific set of Organisations within a Group, which they have been added to individually by another user and all learners within those Organisations.

A Group Manager has access to all Organisations within the Group by association and doesn’t need to be added into each Organisation individually and all learners within the group.

Group Managers and Advanced Users have administrative rights to create Organisations and add existing users from the group to Organisations.
